Pet Trusts
Posted on Feb. 13, 2012

Utah law allows a person to create a trust for the care and benefit of a pet after the owner passes away or becomes incapacitated.  A pet trust allows you direct specific funds for your pet’s care and name both a caregiver and a trustee who will manage the funds.  When the pet dies, any remaining funds goes to named beneficiaries such as a family member, pet caregiver or charity.
