Jones Waldo Attorneys Contribute to New Books Published by Aspatore Books (Thomson Reuters Business)
Two attorneys with Jones Waldo, one of Utah’s most enduring and prestigious law firms, have written chapters featured in new books that provide advice from top attorneys to business people and others.
Randall J Holmgren wrote the chapter “Twenty-First Century Business Succession Planning Strategies,” which appears in the book “Family and Business Succession Planning: Leading Lawyers on Evaluating Recent Trends, Navigating Uncertain Tax Laws, and Developing Creative Strategies for Families and Businesses.” Alexander F. Kennedy, a partner in Jones Waldo’s corporate securities group, wrote the chapter “What I Wish I Had Known About M&A Negotiations in the Beginning,” which appears in “M&A Negotiations: Leading Lawyers on Structuring Transactions, Negotiating Agreements, and Addressing Management Concerns.”
Both books are part of the “Inside the Minds” series published by Aspatore Books. Aspatore, a Thomson Reuters business, exclusively publishes content from the world’s most-respected companies and law firms. Books in the series provide professionals at all levels with proven business intelligence from industry insiders.
Holmgren’s practice focuses on estate planning, asset-protection planning and business succession planning. He is a member of Utah Business magazine’s Legal Elite. Kennedy has broad experience in business law (including mergers and acquisitions), securities law, venture capital, private equity, business formation and funding, compensation, employment agreements, intellectual property licensing, commercial contracts and general corporate matters. Prior to joining Jones Waldo, Kennedy practiced corporate securities law in New York and London.
