Rick J. Sutherland Joins Jones Waldo’s Employment And Labor Law Team
Jones Waldo, one of Utah’s most enduring and prestigious law firms, is pleased to announce Rick J. Sutherland has joined the firm.
Mr. Sutherland brings more than 25 years of employment law experience to Jones Waldo’s well-recognized Employment and Labor Law practice group. His extensive experience includes working closely with executives to analyze issues that arise in the workplace, identify options, and make and implement decisions. He consults with and trains upper-management and human resources professionals in many states on compliance and awareness of federal and state employment laws.
Mr. Sutherland is a litigator with expertise in defending lawsuits and administrative charges and audits before numerous state and federal agencies such as EEOC, DOL, OFCCP and their state counterparts. He has trained many HR professionals on the applications and implications of ADA, FMLA, EEO, Anti-Harassment, Affirmative Action, FLSA and similar state laws.

Mr. Sutherland graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in 1978. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Utah College of Law in 1981.
